Smith & Vansant Architects PC Glad you like them. Those are our own in-house design and the wood is a sustainably harvested stain grade mahogany.

Smith & Vansant Architects PC Hello,
The walls are Benjamin Moore's Bone White with an Aqua Velvet finish and the wood trim and paneling is Benjamin Moore's Linen White with a Satin Impervo finish.

If you have lighter wood floors and are a bit afraid to go as dark as black on the handrail and newel posts, stain your handrail and just the tops of the new posts a dark chocolate brown. This only really works if the newel post design lends itself to a two-tone treatment.

Like the light stained floors and dark stained banister. Stairs, banister, two toned stain. No stain used here, just a Urethane finish on American Beech wood flooring.
