I would like to see more of this beautiful screen porch! - We're adding a similar screen room to the home we're building, and I have a ton of questions.
Here are a few of my questions:
1) how is the gable end handled?
2) Is the gable end trimmed in shakes like the rest of the home, or is there a window?
3) If there is a window, what shape is it?
4) How is the floor handled?
5) Does the floor have gaps in the flooring to allow rainwater to escape, or is it solid?
6) Is the wood painted that cream/white color, or is there some trim/fascia used to "clad" the framing?
7) What type of screening was used? »
Smith & Vansant Architects PC I am sorry, our homes are custom designs created to specifically integrate our client's programmatic requirement with their particular site. This is a custom timber framed porch and it would not be prudent business practice to release the information you request.
What does the side of the porch farthest from the house look like? - How is it finished? Is it open from floor to ceiling or is part of this wall have siding in between the roof truss? »

Smith & Vansant Architects PC While this doesn't show the gable end it does give some more detail, but the screens haven't been applied at this stage yet. The gable end is screened timber frame like the rest of the porch. The the deck is closed to cover the space below. A small gap below the bottom screen stop allows water to drawn out. The timbers have been painted to match the trim on the house. Copper screening was used here.
Smith & Vansant Architects PC The siding is red cedar, pre-primed in semi-transparent at the factory in Cabot Beechwood Gray. Then a single coat of Semi-transparent Cabot Pepperwood was applied. Most of the ext. trim is Benjamin Moore # 1523 Embassy Green.
Anchored to the ground. Some homes appear to be solidly anchored to the earth, rising up as an extension of the ground. Certainly, a sloped site and a stone foundation reinforce this approach.
I like this whole house in general. Stone color, siding color, trim color. We may need to do Semco windows to obtain a deep burgundy window but could also do a Bronze window and achieve the same look. This house is cool.
Elevation. Supports do not need to be so elaborate.

Think about the tri-color scheme for your own home. Imagine these windows in the brown you have, but we can change the trim color and stucco color as well. This is a much richer look with better depth to the elevations.
