This single family home in the Greenlake neighborhood of Seattle is a modern home with a strong emphasis on sustainability. The house includes a rainwater harvesting system that supplies the toilets and laundry with water. On-site storm water treatment, native and low maintenance plants reduce the site impact of this project. This project emphasizes the relationship between site and building by creating indoor and outdoor spaces that respond to the surrounding environment and change throughout the seasons.

Shelves - Where did you get the shelving. Are those pipe supports? »
Fivedot Design Build Hi. The floor is concrete with a scofield grey stain. Polished and sealed. The contractor we used for the finishing doesn't seem to be in business any more but there are plenty of concrete finishing companies out there.. It is pretty simple.
Maritza Gray I have the same exact stools in dark brown, I bought them about 4 yrs ago from believe it or not, "Walmart"... Online. For 55.00 each.... Good luck.
The kitchen, oriented toward the back of the house, blends into the main living space. The space opens out onto the back patio.Cabinets, laminate countertop: kerfdesign; shelving: Rakks
A superefficient boiler heats both the domestic hot water and the radiant floors. The house is plumbed for solar hot water preheat, which any future homeowners can easily add to further reduce utility costs.
FORGET THIS PICTURE. . . .I'M JUST INTERESTED IN WHAT JEFF RANDOLPH THINKS ABOUT THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT FROMHOUZZ.COM; Low-VOC paints, formaldehyde-free plywood and prefinished floors all combine to minimize the amount of toxic off-gassing that typically occurs in new construction. With radiant floor heat there are no forced air ducts accumulating and redistributing dust and other particulates throughout the house.
I like this clean kitchen (mine will NEVER be this clean though!) Maybe too modern and not kid friendly enough. Add a chalkboard and funky trimmings instead of corporate. I do like the openness.
