Smith & Vansant Architects PC Hello,
Actually, the stiles end at the baseboard, and once the finishes are applied properly the joint goes away. Now, the right side casing of the cased opening does continue to the floor, but again the joint between the side casing and the baseboard goes away after the finishes are applied.
