The renovation of the kitchen in this contemporary timber home sought to make the most of its compact u-shaped plan. Cherry slab door cabinets were paired with granite tops and accented by glass and stainless steel. Custom built ins took advantage of every nook and allowed for a better connection between the family room eating area and the open kitchen. Because of the tongue in groove wood ceilings, flexible monorail track lighting with glass shades were chosen over the typical recess lighting. The colored glass also makes an appearance in the random pattern backsplash. PHOTOGRAPY: Anice Hoachlander, Hoachlander Davis Photography

Coupard Architects and Builders We used standard selections of Crossville Milestone Mosaics series and blended in some of there more costly textured glass tiles from Crossville that were available per tile. We always recommend finding a good local tile shop and working with one of the designers there to help determine what great options are available
