I Went To H&M Yesterday. Women Section They Had A Scarf Same Color As The Yellow Blankets Showed Here. Planing To Buy It Tomorrow. It's Just $12 And It Makes Such A Great Compliment To The Gray Color On My Walls. Is This The Same Scarf. Only Used As A Blanket? »
Anne DeCocco Such a pretty color! I thought for sure they were Restoration Hardware, but couldn't find anything like it on their site. Hey Houzz peeps--anyone have any other ideas?
I have 2 wingback chairs in a horrible pattern but the lines are amazing. I cannot afford to have them re-upolstered and was wondering if it significantly less expensive to do yourself. I have 3 small kids and your idea would be perfect for our house...ANY HINTS ON A STEP BY STEP PROCESS? »
bepsf Wing chairs are not easy reupholstery projects - it's not something you'd want to start out with.
I'd suggest taking classes and starting with something simple such as an ottoman and working your way up to it - you may find that you enjoy it so much that it's a new career for yourself!
The wingback chair was salvaged from a garage sale and re-upholstered in vinyl. Now it can be easily wiped down with a rag — another kid-friendly white piece of furniture!
A shock of mustard yellow jazzes up the back of this chair.
Tip: Use a throw (or two!) to perk up a chair or sofa by folding it down the middle and tucking it under the seat.

Getting creative with throws can yield beautiful results. This white wing chair trimmed in black piping is gorgeous on its own, but when paired with a double dose of throws draped across the back and threaded through the seat cushion, the piece sings a livelier tune.
Create a colorful back cushion. This is a great idea to add color to a neutral chair. Use a throw or two, draping it over the chair after folding it lengthwise. Then, tuck it under the seat cushion to keep it in place.
If bold colors are too over the top for you, no worries; this look is equally strong in neutrals or basics. A white chair feels fresh and current outlined with black piping.
