Burlap sack cloth is another easy and inexpensive idea for camoflauging the cork of your pin board. It communicates that this is a free and relaxed area for pinning whatever you desire. There are no rules, and you won't be judged.
Get the look: Don't forget the walls. Even if you're not a fan of posters on your beautifully painted walls (my mom certainly wasn't), there are plenty of clever ways to let your children personalize the wall space in their rooms. Bulletin boards are an easy solution — in fact, Oskar has several in his room in the film. They're the perfect place to pin up photos, old ticket stubs — or, if your child is like Oskar, the latest origami attempt.
If your children need a place to showcase their keepsakes, make a bulletin board together. The one shown here was created with foam-core board and an old potato sack.

Burlap sack bulletin board...could be cool if it tied in with the right shelf colors and surrounding decor. Possibly an idea for a mud room or something.

perfect. foam core and an old coffee bean sack, a few colorful tacks, and a much easier way to put up those little invites and pics that get mangled between the fridge and the countertop
I can get a burlap coffee bag from the coffee roasting place down the street. And I have an old bulletin board in the garage , a fun project for Thomas and I today :}
