Smith & Vansant Architects PC The actual color used here is Benjamin Moore's 2148-30 in Aqua Velvet. Their color naming convention has changed since this project was completed, but this number code corresponds with their Military Tan.
Wood spindles are a really common rail choice. A nice thing about wood is that it can be cut into so many shapes and forms, like a paddle. The owner of this home must be a boater, or maybe the house is located on a lake. Whatever the case, this railing isn't typical and is all the more appreciated because of that.
Interior railings. Sure, building codes dictate that railings have to be a certain height, have the ability to withstand a certain force and be able to prevent a small sphere from passing through. But railings are so much more. The code dictates are only the starting point. See how many architects use railings to bring a whole new dimension of style into their designs.
That is Benjamin Moore's #233-Cream Fleece.
Hope that helps!
