Smith & Vansant Architects PC Hello,
Tru-Stile manufactures those doors. This project was completed almost ten years ago, so I don't think cost information will be helpful. I am sure they could ship to Toronto. The style is shaker stile with square sticking - these have four equal panels.
Hope that helps!
Smith & Vansant Architects PC Hello,
That is a salvaged wide plank pine floor. We believe that the warm hues of the flooring work well to soften the crispness of the painted trim. Stylish and up to date? Sure in a timeless sort of way.
Hope that helps!
Bentley Design We just did this, and we used soft maple which we milled down to 1/2" x 1-1/2 and stained with a java stain and a satin clear coat to finish it.
Smith & Vansant Architects PC Hello,
These were a four-panel, flat panel with square sticking, shaker style painted mdf door by Tru-Stile. Ovation by Millenium also carries a similar type door.
Good luck.
I'm really trying to achieve this look for the trim (and I asked a question about two of your other pictures- sorry). How are the joints between the legs and headers handled/installed? Thank you so much! Beautiful work! »
Relate the direction to your wall size. In this case, two smaller pieces of art hung vertically work better than just one, but the small scale keep them from feeling overwhelming for the size of the wall.
Trim installed like this creates the illusion that the wall is nothing more than a screen that can be moved. It's not surprising that this type of trim installation gained awareness and popularity in the late 19th century, when Japanese buildings started to become known in the West.
