Why save the innovation and attention for the "main" rooms only? The staircase itself offers uniquely breathtaking beauty. Such shape. Such color contrast. Its surroundings--from the crown moulding to the door shape to the meticulous wall hangings to the shining floors--don't disappoint. To put it lightly.

This is another example of how a centerpiece at the top of the staircase can enhance the upper level of the area. And again, the downstairs artwork improves the sleek modern appearance of the lower half of the stairs. You can see how simple it is to start pulling things together once you've studied a few staircases.
