Smith & Vansant Architects PC This was a salvage piece we found with our client at Vermont Salvage in White River Junction, VT. We had a local glass worker fix some of the imperfections, but I couldn't say who the original artist was.

The wainscoting is built up with a painted 1/2" MDF (medium density fiberboard) base and the stiles and rails (verticals and horizontals) are 5/8" painted poplar. To add an additional reveal to the salvage borrow-lite and the dutch door we padded the casings out 1/2" and used 5/4 painted poplar with custom mouldings designed specifically for this house.
