Mark Hickman Homes @lauri930 They are rustic grade. The stain is complicated.....we painted it first, then wiped it off, then applied a natural finish. Good luck! Talk with your hardwood floor provider....they should offer stain samples. Would love to see your floors when finished!
tdgill Thank you for answering the above question. Would you be able to give more details as to the paint and wipe off process or connect me to the sub who did the work? Unfortunately I am in Idaho so a phone number or website would be great! Thanks so much!
Love cabinet handles and sink - Where can I purchase this sink and handles (especially the ones on the top cabinets). Also, who makes these cabinets and is that cypress with no stain? »
Mark Hickman Homes The sink is handmade. The handles were custom made by the cabinet company, Roeckers, and then wrapped in leather. And the cabinets are reclaimed oak. http://roeckercabinets.com/
color of stain and/or glaze? - I have Knotty Alder custom frameless cabinets. My alder has a "pink" hue. I am trying to wash out the color but accentuate the grain, then add a glaze to bring more attention to the natural blemishes and corners. The alder accepts the colored semi transparent stains, it covers so well that it does not allow any variation to the grain almost like paint instead of the ability to wipe on, wipe off. »
In addition to the structural materials of brick and stone, salvaged materials have been used for the interiors. For example, reclaimed boards were milled anew for the kitchen cabinets, creating a truly unique kitchen.
