This whole house renovation done by Harry Braswell Inc. used Virginia Kitchen's design services (Erin Hoopes) and materials for the bathrooms, laundry and kitchens. The custom millwork was done to replicate the look of the cabinetry in the open concept family room. This completely custom renovation was eco-friend and is obtaining leed certification.

Erin Hoopes These are quartzite countertops. Which like granite are quarried and fabricated natural material. The price point can be considerably higher in quartzite due to quantity of the material. The color is White Princess.

Erin Hoopes I'd pick something to add drama and define the space in lieu of artwork on the walls between. Something with a pattern that ties into the kitchen rug and backsplash. A larger print would work well in the space. Hope that helps!
