This whole house renovation done by Harry Braswell Inc. used Virginia Kitchen's design services (Erin Hoopes) and materials for the bathrooms, laundry and kitchens. The custom millwork was done to replicate the look of the cabinetry in the open concept family room. This completely custom renovation was eco-friend and is obtaining leed certification. there is less space between table and sofa???? isn't it??? »
Erin Hoopes I'm not certain how I can be of assitance. They're are lots of details to take into account when designing a kitchen - windows, door openings, appliance selections etcs. If there is a specific question in terms of this design please let me know. Otherwise I'd recommend working with a skilled/trained kitchen designer in your area to come up with a plan that best meets you or your clients needs.
Question about furnishings - This design is beautiful and exactly what I'm looking for. I'm getting ready to do a complete remodel of my living room/kitchen. I will be purchasing all new furniture except a entertainment center. The center is espresso stained wood. Would dark wood furnishings work with this design? I think so my husband disagrees. »
Erin Hoopes Unfortunately this is propriotary to the architect who designed the space. It should be determined based on the size of your lot, if you're doing a remodel etc, and a good architect or design build firm should be able to help you acheive the look based on your parameters.
ccahls Can you please tell me why owl grey works with a beige sofa? Grey is really in right now and I have a chocolate sofa and beige chairs. I'm afraid to go grey and want to stay with the beige group. Why does this work? The room is lovely
Erin Hoopes This was locally sourced from an interior furnishing company and I don't have the manfucaturer information. I'd recommend looking at a design house local to you. Best of luck!
8. Soft and soothing Virginia living space. A cozy sectional manages to separate the open kitchen and living room in this home, without creating too much division. Complementary tans and gray-blues subtly tie together the two spaces.
