doba If my island is 30 inches x 80 inches would 2 of the 8 inch pendants be enough? I only have 8 foot ceilings. I didn't think the 10 would work given the ceiling height and island width.

Venegas and Company You have to consider the overhang which will be around an 1", thickness of the box which should be 3/4" and then the sink has to attach to the underside of the counter. You will want at least a minimum of 4", but depending on the type of sink you may need more clearance. Good luck with your project.

Suzanne Tucker so that is for sure 2x4? looks like 3x6? we are deciding between the two sizes myself and LOVE this look. just needing to know for certain this is in fact 2x4 - can you confirm and put my nerves at ease on pulling the trigger to go this size? we have to special order it... the bevel is beautiful. Venegas and Company Thank you for your inquiry! In this particular project, the 10-1/2" diameter fixtures were selected and the island is 9'-9" overall. We agree with Castle Construction - 3 Pelham fixutres or 2 larger fixtures would work well with your island! Good luck with your project!

narpin Hi I would also like to achieve a similar look but only have 9 ft ceilings. I am debating whether I should do 30 in with 18 in cabinets above (and 6 in for crown), or 36 in with 12 in cabinets above (again 6 in crown). I appreciate any advice!! Thank you!

Venegas and Company K & B Renovations has a great idea, by lowering the ceiling just above the cabinets and creating a soffit. This will decrease the overall height of your cabinets, but keep the high ceiling in certain areas.

Venegas and Company There are no rules! We integrate several finishes into one space all the time. It's all about creating a space for your needs and choosing colors and finishes that fit your style. You can certainly accent the sink base! What if you did the accent on both the island and the sink base? I don't know your layout, but do what you know you'll love!
