tracyre Those lights!! All of them are to die for! It's a gorgeous room all together as well! Can you tell me where you sourced those lights? thank you!
Elizabeth Gordon The bench is made by a company named Global Views. If you go to their website you can look up a retailer near you that carries their product to get pricing.
Elizabeth Gordon The ceiling was finished with the same custom wallpaper that I had made for the walls. I love how it gives an interesting finish to the bedroom!
Elizabeth Gordon These particular lamps were custom fabricated through one of my mfrs. I would try googling "capiz shell pendants' online to find similar sources.
When hanging chandliers in place of table lamps, how does one turn them on/off? - Can they be turned on/off individually? Or are they one the same light switch?
I love the idea! Thank you for your time and help! »
Elizabeth Gordon I had these particular lights custom made through one of my trade vendors, but if you google "capiz shell pendant" there are a lot of good options that come up. (Target has a really cute one at the moment!) Once you get them you'll probably have to take it to a local source to have it rewired with a longer cord in order to hang them from the ceiling and still be able to plug them behind the bed.
I'm thinking of ordereing a bed from the mirrored bed company, did you have a good experience? - I'm thinking of ordering a bed from the mirrored bed company, did you have a good experience? I love your designs! »
Elizabeth Gordon This bed was actually custom fabricated by a metals company that I work with and given a polished mirrored finish. Depending on who you are getting to make your bed, if it is a custom piece make sure that they provide you with dimensioned drawings to review and approve prior to fabrication. If they have the actual bed that you are ordering in their store or showroom, make sure you inspect it carefully so that you know exactly what you are getting in the finished product. Good luck!
kimberly lopez i bought from the mirrored bed company and i have to say i was mightily impressed with the service and with my mirrored bed which arrived from england just a few weeks ago. all perfect and will be putting up some images soon!
Elizabeth Gordon The drapery fabric is by Clarence House called Hakone. It looks brown in the photo, but is more tobacco with blue tones when you see it in person.
Elizabeth Gordon The walls and ceiling area actually covered with a custom wallpaper that was designed and made for this project...! But I tend to gravitate towards Dunn Edwards and ICI paints in general. Hope that helps...
Elizabeth Gordon Thanks for the compliment...!
Those pendant globes are two of my favorites. They are 16"dia. capiz shell globes that were made in the Phillipines. Unfortunately, the company that I purchased them from has since gone out of business. If you search for "capiz globe light" online you'll find a number of sources that carry similar lights. Good luck!
Elizabeth Gordon Thanks for the compliment. The nightstands were custom pieces that I designed and had fabricated, so I'm afraid they aren't available via retail!
I've seen plenty of mirrored furniture, but this is the first four-poster bed I recall. I love how it shines from the glow of the nearby lights.

Plush bronze curtains behind the headboard cozy up the icy chrome and grays in this multi-layered bedroom. A wall of off-the-shelf curtains is an affordable way to add instant luxury. With its gray base, silver is an easy hue to build on: All tones of bronze or gold will look beautiful when paired with it, so have no fear!
Ramp up sophistication with splashy light fixtures. The ceiling fixture and two pendants on either side of the bed work well together, add interest, and make this already glamorous setup even more scintillating. The drapery wall behind the bed softens a look that could have been too cold, with all of the metal finishes.
A clustered Bubble Chandelier is a great addition to this metallic bedroom. The grays and silvers are warmed up by the fixture's soft glow. The clustered shape stays high up on the ceiling, allowing the bedside pendants to remain the primary focus.
Windows aren’t the only places that are worthy of drapes. Feel free to hang them liberally across a wall. Texture equals warmth, and this look comes with loads of texture.
How fabulous are these dangling glowing globes? I love the way they play off the fixture in the center of the room, as well as all the various metal finishes used throughout.
By the way, do you know whose house this is? I'll give you a hint: He's the funniest man on E! — unless you think Chris Franjola is the funniest man on E! (Personally, I think Chris is the second-funniest).
Here is an example of the type of room where the above pattern mix look could work very well. It's a gorgeous space that could read both masculine and feminine.Let's imagine using our fabrics in a space like this:Crocodile: Would work well on the bench at the end of the bed.Snake-Chain: Could be really fun to use as the drapes behind the bed. Diamond: Could work well on the Roman shades Polka Dot & Houndstooth: Would look great used as throw pillows.Next, see more great uses of patterns in interior design:
Another easy way to replicate the bed background: curtains. Hang them floor-to-ceiling and wall-to-wall to maximize glamour and infiltrate your space with texture.
9. Houzz readers saved this photo for just about every inspiring detail in the room. The bedside pendants and modern chandelier immediately catch the eye, but readers also love the curtain behind the bed, the metallic wallcovering, and the beautiful and glamorous four-poster bed.
Since the couple has two young children and two crazy work schedules, they needed some spots in their home to be a haven from the chaos. The soft grays, blues and purples in the master bedroom instantly soothe the eye and tone down the Hollywood-glam lighting. Pendants: Fantasy Lighting; chandelier: Retro Gallery; rug: Lawrence of La Brea; nightstands, wall covering: custom
Most people would have mounted this chandelier in the center of the bed canopy. But that would have put it too close to the pendants that hang over the night tables — and besides, doesn't it look fresher at the very end of the bed?
