Elizabeth Gordon The painting was commissioned from a wonderful LA artist by the name of Kristen Neveu (http://kristenneveu.com) specifically for this room. I highly recommend her work!
Elizabeth Gordon The wallpaper is called "Woods" and it's by Cole and Son. If you look the company up online you should be able to find a source near you.
christine1ca Hi, Thanks for the response! Was the manufacturer Seco? I will at least call Liz's and tell them if they find any old pieces by them, to give me a call! Looks I'm sticking with my ring pulls for a while longer!

Elizabeth Gordon Becky's right- it was custom designed. The table is ebonized wood with bone inlay and two matching leafs so that you can seat 4-8 people.
If you have light or neutral walls much like this dining room, have 8ft ceilings could you paint the ceiling a darker color on the same palette rather then have an accent wall? »
jantz A dark color will make the room more intimate. If you have lots of natural light, this would be fine. You can paint the ceiling just a few shades darker than the walls without going really dark. You can also paint the ceiling a pale shade of your accent color, or a soft sky blue.
hilltop1155 With 8' ceilings, I think it looks better to go lighter on the ceiling. In this photo, the striking green color contrasting with the walls brings an intimate look and a spot of connecting color. If you're using a different shade of the same color, I don't think you'd get the same effect.
This dining room is valiant in design, from the ceiling to the furnishings. The round medallions on the buffet add to the theme. Makes me think about adding some small medallions to the knobs of my own buffet!
Seeing stria (and stars). I love when a theme is carried out in really subtle ways. The nubby fabric on the chairs and clean, simple stria in the ceiling treatment are mirrored in the large-scale "stripe" of the birch tree wallpaper. Punches of red make the room complete.
Perhaps you like the contrast of the materials of bone inlay but aren't thrilled about the overwhelming pattern that often accompanies it. A stunning piece like this dining table is a great solution.
The textural green chairs and branchlike chandelier in the dining room were inspired by the wooded wallpaper on the far wall. While some rooms were designed based on a piece of wallpaper or furniture, others were inspired by the view out the windows or the light at a certain time of day.Table: custom with bone inlay detail; chairs: Crocus, Ironies; chandelier: custom in faux bois finish; ceiling: custom wallpaper
Go garden green. The inspiration for this dining room was a garden that's framed by the room's windows. "The clients wanted the majority of the house interiors to reflect the cool blues and greens found on property," says designer Elizabeth Gordon. "The grounds were renovated as well, and I wanted many of the rooms to feel like an extension of the garden spaces surrounding the house."Ceiling covering: custom design, Robert Crowder; artwork: "Woods," Lee Jofa
