What color of backsplash would go with Kashmir White without going gray? - Redoing my kitchen. Having white cabinets put in tomorrow and have white kashmir on order - have been told to use gray which is not my favorite color. Surely there are other choices? »
shimalanes A little late, but this granite is so neutral you can go with anything. If you want to keep it crisp and mono then white backsplash. I personally would go with a green or blue glass tile. Or even a white-pearl glass tile.
Beverly Andrews My granite is not clear, but was much like that picture above when chosen at the yard, and then put down. It was sealed, but that did not keep it protected. It was sealed again. Glasses left rings immediately. I was looking for marble, however, was repeatedly told it would not hold up to stains, etc. I have found that if you use any light colored stone you must live with staining. Lighter stone is more porous. If you selected black or very dark or heavily sealed and manufactured looking you don't have a problem. I still like my white cashmere granite, just learned to live with imperfection. :-)
Is this too Grey for our kitchen? - I loved the large slab of this Granite but when I brought the small sample home to look at with my Travertine floors, I felt it looked too Grey. Is there enough golden tones going through it or should I go toward a color like Kashmir Gold? »
WHen granite has lines, how do you make the pieces flow without the direction looking odd - JUst had a version of Kashmir White put in, but it is very striate. THE right corner where the sink piece and the stove piece meet or at different directions and look awful. Builder says it has to be that way. Does it? »
This is one of our go-to granites for its light and airy qualities. Want marble without the maintenance? This is a good choice. — Rebekah Zaveloff | KitchenLab
