Chamlies-Wilburn Kitchen Remodel

Finally the Contractor gets to do a project in his own home! We transformed our 1925 Arts and Crafts Home Kitchen into a modern eclectic showcase! Keeping the traditional rail and style shaker cabinets allowed us to add a punch with an art deco backsplash and bright wall colors. The hardwood floors were restored after being covered up since 1944. We found slate from a 1950s Brunswick Pool Table and polished them as the main countertops in our wet and cooking areas. Warm butcher block completes the rest of the counters with plenty of prep space for pasta and pastries!
