Natasha Wallis Hi, This bedroom measures approx 8'-9" x 9'. A typical queen bed measures 60"w x 80"d. There are two closests one on either side of the bed and they measure 22" wide, between the closet and the bed there is approx 2"this allows for the off the shelf headboard to slot in and gives enough wiggle room for the bed to be made comfortably. This room was created in a former studio apartment. I think you need an absolute minimum of 24" if you intend to egress from both sides of the bed in addition we used a pair of 24" french doors to enter the space this allowed for the doors to swing fully.
