Futuro Futuro Kitchen Range Hoods If you're talking about the 2-tone part between the upper & lower frames of the hood, that looks like a "Venetian Stucco" effect.
This can be accomplished with special plasters (search for "Venetian Stucco plaster"), or simulated very closely with a multi-layer paint technique called "Venetian Luting". Examples attached below.
However, making a successful VS effect is complicated and risky, as well as requiring specialized materials, tools, and most importantly, experience. If you want the best results, we would recommend contacting the company which made the range hood, and having them manufacture one for you.
Stone Farm I agree it looks like travertine ,but those dimensions do not seem right. Looks like 16-18" heights with varying lengths. The pattern is running bond which lends itself to strips of one height then variable lengths.
How would a picture frame area such as this play over a sink tying it in with a ORB gooseneck faucet? - Every picture focuses on stove back splash designs or sinks with windows. I have neither. Mine is a country/ranch-style kitchen--small 10' x 8' in the food prep area. A chimney wall separates the long, sink wall from the short, stove wall...and no possibility of a window. I would like to have a full back splash behind the sink and a 4" high backsplash on the side. So, how could I tie it all together? »
