Here the island includes a sink, a place to pull up a beautiful stool, and storage for pasta.

We opted against a sink in the island - because we knew we wanted it to be party space, not prep space. However, if you envision using your island more for actual work vs. play, a sink is a smart addition.

I love the curves of these stools.

The short end of a kitchen's island typically goes unused. Four pasta drawers are a smart use of that space.
