Vickory Home

The house is located on a rural site in the mountains of North Carolina. Timber frame construction was combined with soaring interior spaces to create a beautiful environment for this landscape contractor and his wife. Both enjoy an outdoor lifestyle with frequent hiking and horseback riding. The house is constructed using the Timber Frame Technique. This system has significant advantages with high insulation values for the exterior walls, and the pleasing aesthetics of exposed wood structure. A generous wrap around porch offers views to the nearby Blue Ridge Mountains and provides space for entertainment as well as leisure enjoyment. The grounds adjacent to the home are planted with specimen trees and shrubs as samples of the clients landscaping capabilities
