The design of this refined mountain home is rooted in its natural surroundings. Boasting a color palette of subtle earthy grays and browns, the home is filled with natural textures balanced with sophisticated finishes and fixtures. The open floorplan ensures visibility throughout the home, preserving the fantastic views from all angles. Furnishings are of clean lines with comfortable, textured fabrics. Contemporary accents are paired with vintage and rustic accessories.
To achieve the LEED for Homes Silver rating, the home includes such green features as solar thermal water heating, solar shading, low-e clad windows, Energy Star appliances, and native plant and wildlife habitat.

Love. This. Door. Who made it for you? - My husband and I are restoring an old firehouse. If you don't mind could you please tell me who made this door for you? »
Linda McDougald Design | Postcard from Paris Home The home builder sourced these doors from a local company – they are 8’ tall, shaker, 5-panel doors with a custom water-based stain (on “character oak” – a knotty white oak). You should be able to take this photo to a local millwork/door manufacturer and get them made. I would also recommend looking at Rogue Valley Doors.
Linda McDougald Design | Postcard from Paris Home The interior doors are rustic oak, stained a custom color (water-based) to match the floors. The interior trim is paint grade, painted Sherwin Williams Urbane Bronze SW7048.
