Installing a range in the middle of an island - Almost all photos show the kitchen range near a wall. This is the first where it's in the middle of the kitchen and an island. LOVE. Are there any issues with smoke or heat? Thanks. »
mbvv You may also want to consider ducting. The ducts have to have enough room in the ceiling and a lot of hoods venting systems cannot make a 90 degree turn. I wanted this in a new construction and was unable to do it - albeit we have a 1000 cpm vent as we have a capital stove and that was the manufacturers recommendation
Dana Flinn Designs We have an induction cooktop in the island and LOVE it! I placed a pop up venting system instead of a massive hood. I wanted the focus to be on the crystal pendants over the island. I plan to replicate this in my next kitchen. Good luck!
Carla Aston | Interior Designer They loved it. They did all the research and selected the range themselves. It's really gorgeous, like everything else Italian! I haven't spoken with them in quite a while, but as far as I know, they did love it.
Carla Aston | Interior Designer It is millwork constructed on the job site, then painted. The inserted venting system is Best by Broan. They have stainless liners also available to have a beautifully lined stainless venting system inside a wood cabinetry styled hood.
Ease into the idea with a deep matte shade of gray blue on the cabinets. On some days it will look more gray and you will feel like you chose a good contemporary hue. On other days it will look more blue and you will pat yourself on the back for being daring.
I like the scale/ratio of the detail on the fron of ther drawers. So many drawer fronts I've seen seem to have too much space in the middle or on the perimiter, this seems to be a nice ballance though I want less of a quater round/beading detail in the middle.
