Peg Berens Interior Design LLC Pendants like this would look amazing hung over a pair of accent tables in a living room; they basically replace table lamps. You will need an electrician to install them in the ceiling. Good luck.
Peg Berens Interior Design LLC The draperies were custom made for this client. I'm not sure if you can tell from the photo or not, but the "sheers" along the back wall are a mesh-like silky fabric. Very cool! Glad you like them! :)
Peg Berens Interior Design LLC Hello - so glad you like the bedding! It was custom made by a local drapery/bedding workroom using Osborne & Little fabric. Sorry it isn't available for retail purchase.
Peg Berens Interior Design LLC I'm so glad you like Mr. and Mrs. Goose! They came from a well known metal sculptor/artist/furniture maker in Los Angeles named Robert Kuo. You can check out his website at www.robertkuo.com. His work is absolutely amazing and he has a wonderful showroom/gallery in LA. Enjoy!
cheries Thank you so much for the info. They really are beautiful. They remind me of swans floating on the lake in my home town. I will check out his website, his name sounds very familiar. Thank you again : )
Kerrie L. Kelly When selecting an accent color, consider the basics. Cool colors such as blue, purple, green and yellow-green will pop and stand out when placed with warmer colors such as red, orange and yellow. Putting cool colors with cool colors or warm colors with warm colors will cause the colors to blend in with each other and not catch your eye.
Lightness and darkness of a color also makes a difference in which shades of other colors to use. The general rule is that with darker colors, lighter colors will stand out, and with lighter colors, darker colors will stand out.
It is important to know if you like a lot of contrast when picking out your colors. It is also good to know how you want your room to feel. This room is an example of a lot contrast and is also tying into the focal point of the fireplace.
Of course I love the purplish colors. I also love the way the window decor is two sets of curtains so that sun can come through, or you can close yourself off by closing the drapes. the porcelin geese are interesting. I like the way the curtains drape back on the far window. Also, it is quite interesting that the drapes at one window are different than that of the other window. yet it works. I like the low light fixture - I think...
Like the small (4 inch?) tiles that do not extend to the edge of the wall. Without mantel, allows for a large picture or mirror above it; and for the f/place to be higher off the ground. About 18".
Yes! to color pallette - with different applications of it, this is what I am after. (plus feminine art) Pretty, bold, but not overly ornate or complicated. Invigorating.
