Wall Color Print - Hi Great Colors! So softly Masculine. I was wondering the wall color/ And Also the name of the Print/Painting of the purple Cow. Luscious. »
Peg Berens Interior Design LLC Hello! The walls are actually covered in a bronze colored vinyl wallpaper by Warner. It's so soft and nice in person. And that charming cow painting was the clients' own collection. Sorry I can't help you there!
Peg Berens Interior Design LLC Sorry, I can't help you here. This painting is from my clients' own collection and they acquire their art from all around the country. :(
Peg Berens Interior Design LLC Sorry, I do not. But just get some graph paper and play around with your wall width/height and see what you can come up with!
Peg Berens Interior Design LLC Please read the previous questions and answers. These were custom made. You can scale them to whatever wall you are working with.
Mary Ruiz Peg, my carpenter says he could duplicate it for about $2000. That was sticker shock in my opinion. Do you think that is reasonable? Also are those pieces two inches thick?
Peg Berens Interior Design LLC Well, Mary, that does seem a little on the high end but it depends on what is included in your carpenter's quote (paint/stain, installation, etc) and how long the shelves are. If the bid includes all of the above, then it is probably reasonable. If I remember correctly, these shelves are 2-1/2" thick.
Peg Berens Interior Design LLC Yep, they were a custom design! If you have a carpenter, you can show them this picture and have something designed to fit your space. Also, both West Elm (www.westelm.com) and Design Within Reach (www.dwr.com) sell contemporary shelving. Good luck to you!
Annie Thornton Floating shelf systems have interior mounting hardware that enables them look like they are floating. It involves hollowing out a portion of the shelf and then having a mate affixed to the wall — almost like two puzzle pieces. I am sure that something very similar is done here.
Anne DeCocco Free standing shelving is sold everywhere from Walmart to Ikea to the fancy furniture stores. It works well when you can't put holes in the walls, but you need to be sure that's it's used safely. Falling bookshelves are a bummer. Floating shelving is also sold everywhere too--The Container Store is a nice source as well as Target and any home improvement big box store. But you have to secure it to the wall. Those "Command" hooks from 3M might be useful in some way to secure a very lightweight shelf--hmmmm, don't like that idea as it's sure to fall down. Is it possible to nail/screw some shelving into the walls, knowing that eventually you'll be patching and painting the holes when you leave? Keep a little of the paint color nearby, labeled and ready to use. Filling holes is not a big job.
What is the spacing from the top of the top shelf to the bottom of the bottom shelf - The room looks like it has 9' ceilings. It also looks like from the top shelf to the bottom shelf is about 60". Is that about right?
Thanks »
Add multiple shelves to a wall in different shapes and it becomes a large sculpture piece. If you can't find shelves like these, try straight shelves of different lengths and stagger them on the wall.
4. The maze-like shape of the shelves behind this desk is what initially drew readers to this luxe home office. Houzz users also bookmarked it for the bronze colored wallpaper, accented with spring green textiles. Wallpaper is a great decorating tool in a home office — it can make a huge difference in a small space.
