"Wall murals can take many forms; in this case it is handpainted wallcovering with silk embroidered flowers," says Interior Designer Peg Berens. "In a deliberate effort to draw the eye down and keep it down, I customized the mural on the wallcovering to go no higher than 10'. The tree on the mural was also designed to start just to the right of the sideboard table and gracefully end by the door on the right of the space. The resulting effect draws the eye to the mural itself and keeps the focus where it should be in this unusually shaped room."

Deb Amato I would do this as a 2 step process. First paint the wall a color (purple shown) . There seems to be a panel like effect in gold. Tape with painters tape, in a vertical direction . The distance needs to be equal between tape "stripes'. Use a gold tone glaze and paint in a horizontal direction. Paint a section about 3 feet long. Then go over it lightly with a soft brush , this removes some of the glaze. Wipe the brush clean after this step. If you look closely the gold is different tones. This depends on how you wipe off the glaze. Good luck : ))
