The room sequence is terminated by the library to the North. The entry hall is to the left of this view, with recessed gilt columns the owners acquired in Syria. As throughout the home, everything was gutted and with new room configurations created.

Fabulously full and busy. Classic old-French sympathies. The large room is divided into sections, kept to a simple palate, and stays true to the period style.
Some boxes are beauiful pieces of artwork in their own right. I love the little box that sits on this table. It's an antique box that compliments all of the other antiques in the room. Even if it's empty, it's a neat part of the decor.
The French neo-classic styled arm chair on the right is a spin-off of the Klismos. It is great to see how the chair style transitions from country to country, era to era.
