Oscar's Sofa/Daybed

This classic daybed was designed for an A. Quincy Jones house built in the '50s in Crestwood Hills, known in its infancy as the Mutual Housing Association, in Los Angeles. The clients, a young family in need of a versatile living room sofa that could double as a guest bed, were pleased with how the piece fit their modest home, since declared a Historic-Cultural Monument by the City of Los Angeles. Solid stained alder frame with aqua/sage chenille upholstery. Designed and produced in collaboration with Matthew Ready. photo by Stephen Mark Johnston
