Erdreich Architecture, P.C. Each shelf is like a narrow hollow box veneered with bamboo. There are steel anchors inside the box that brace onto blocking in the stud wall. In this case, the shelves and their mounting hardware were provided by the company that also provided the kitchen cabinets. Thanks.
Erdreich Architecture, P.C. It depends on the particular shelf and hardware. These shelves are part of the kitchen system which was custom designed with henrybuilt (www.henrybuilt.com). As you can see, they hold a good deal of china and glassware and no sagging, due to the stout steel supports contained within the shelves. Thanks.
I have oak wood cabinets and don't like the closed look, I want a more open feel and love the individual shelves I keep seeing. Is there anyone who may have an idea of what I can do while still using my cabinets as to save money and recycling. I was thinking turning them horizontally and taking off the doors however lol, if it doesn't work out or looks weird that would be a bunch of aggravation for nothing and I already do that and I want to be productive. »
lefty47 Only have open shelves for the things you use daily --- keep the rest behind closed doors . Too many open shelves with kitchen stuff on them just looks junkie. I don't think I would want to use a plate that flys and dust has landed on!
If you're living in an apartment or house, dishware is going to be a necessity. Instead of buying expensive sets, collect various pieces from flea markets and antique stores. It will create an eclectic and eye-catching collection without having to empty your pockets.
