Clay Construction Inc. The table was constructed by a friend. Chairs were from Ikea but they were re-upholstered in animal prints. Artwork came from Home Sense. The couple who bought the house also loved the artwork but we couldn't find the art and that was a couple of years ago.
I think this is very very beautiful but in a way, VERY staged. Where are the family pictures? Where are the clues that a REAL family lives here? It looks like a huge show home. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE IT but it would and could never be my home, filled with backpacks and fingerprints. :) »
Bill Fry Construction - Wm. H. Fry Const. Co. Imagine a pile of photos or stuff on the sideboard, it would take away from the crown moulding on the ceiling and casing around the windows. I just started taking photos of projects in the past 3 years, and even when a space appears quite empty in real life, it can look very cluttered in a photo. I've been learning through my mistakes. Something to think about when designing your own home is whether you would want to have a mantel to put a few things on as you'd likely want to keep the sideboard clear for serving dishes. :) Rhoda
Clay Construction Inc. I guess I am a little late on the conversation. Thanks for all your input. You are all correct, this is a showhome. Uncluttered and impersonal helps to sell it. Seabeewyfe, thanks for your kind words - no offense taken on my part. Bud and Rhoda, thanks for your input. This is a wonderful community.
lindaleibowitz thank you very much for the information and the inspiration. Yes, we are in Texas. Your work is spectacular. Too bad you aren't here to do the work.
