Northwest Guest Bath Renovation

When I suggested to my clients that we use Teak for all the cabinetry and trims in these bathroom renovations, these avid sailor light up with vision for their re-imagined guest bath. We converted the tub area to a luxe walk-in shower. Custom cabinets were designed by Scott Neste and fabricated by Madera Woodworking, Tacoma, WA. Photography by April Greer - www.AprilGreer.com.

Is the teak on this cabinet stained? Is it an oil finish? Beautiful!

Their vanities are made from solid teak and teak plywood. The finish was Sherwin Williams' Sherwood - Kem Aqua Plus - http://oem.sherwin-williams.com/products/wood/sher-wood-kem-aqua-plus

. It is a low VOC, waterborne commercial grade finish. This was applied over a shellac sealer. Everything is clear - no stain.

Is the wood celing at an angle? Height? Actual ceiling angled also?

No - it's all parallel - the wide angle photo makes it look angled. The cabinets are a mix of solid and veneer teak. My design intention was to create more sheltering warmth in a narrow space with high ceiling. The master bath in this same home is also on Houzz and features a teak clad rain head and cantilevered panel over the soaking tub as well as beveled wall-hung cabinets. The counters are Tempest from Pental Chroma Quartz.
