A simple and clean kitchen design with the added very personal touch of having the splashback match the intense blue of the household's teenager's eyes!

Love the floors. What kind of wood are they? What kind of finish is on them? Thanks. »
Increation Hello Marion. Unfortunately, the column was already a part of our client's home when we started working with them and I do not know where it comes from.
Counter top brackets - That is a terrific detail - so good and proportionally snazzy that I suspect they are custom fabricated but still hope that perhaps they might be available to ME! Can you tell me the source.
Thanks so much

deanalee123 I cannot get over the price! We should be in the bracket business :) I didn't investigate the differences but look at the similar ones I recently found at Ikea . How can the price difference be so huge!!??

Thanks

khart77 So the back splash is painted walls and then just tempered glass over the painted walls, or is the back of the glass painted with this color? I am trying to decide if just painting the wall and then installing tempered glass would give me pretty much the same look as purchasing colored tempered glass. Thank you:-)
In addition to reflecting the teenager's blue eyes, the color is also a nod to the maritime history of the city of Wapping and the home's riverside location. Sleek white cabinetry hugs the walls and works with the substantial beam in the kitchen. Oak floors and a raised wooden breakfast bartop warm up a contemporary kitchen that's frequented by a cadre of football-mad boys. Backsplash: Essex Safety Glass; lighting: Intalite
Contemporary Riverside Kitchen in the DocklandsInstead of feeling burdened by the massive pillar in this contemporary home, the designer simply worked around it. He took attention away from the visual interruption by creating a striking blue backsplash that immediately draws the eye and gives the neutral room a welcome punch of color. Tip: Personalizing your home can go beyond family photos on the wall and monogrammed pillowcases. This homeowner asked the designer to match the hue of the backsplash to her son's eye color — now that's personal.
