Jason Ball Interiors, LLC Hi sacho1 - this is a regular fireplace. A free standing fireplace would be more like a wood stove or fireplace that isn't attached or built in to the wall.

amrpatel How would I go about doing something like that for my fireplace? I have the porcelonosa shine dark 12 by 24 tiles from floor to ceiling around my fireplace which is flush against the wall. I want to add some depth to the fireplace if that makes sense. My only issue is that I have crown molding on the top and bottom also so would just be able to add the wood to the sides. Thanks so much for your help. YOur fireplace is amazing!

Jason Ball Interiors, LLC Thanks amrpatel. My recommendation is to find a good wood worker you can work with to make this. We had some tricky configuration issues that only a good craftsperson would really understand how to tackle.
