The Owners wanted to utilize an unfinished attic to add a new floor for their expanded family. By raising the sides of the roof and adding walls, the effective square footage of the home was greatly expanded. With increased insulation added to the existing roof, the owner reports that their heating and cooling costs have not increased since the project was finished. Skylights in the center hallway add natural light into the space and clever use of additional space under the eaves and around the chimney create cozy nooks for the children's rooms.
