Deb Bayless, Designer-Kitchen Studio of Glen Ellyn Although different stone yards call material by different names, this was called Lennon. It is rather important that you see each individual slab as their is inherent variation in these natural materials. Good luck!
Deb Bayless, Designer-Kitchen Studio of Glen Ellyn This light is from Pottery Barn but I believe it has been discontinued. You might want to search under foyer lights for similarly styled fixtures. Wish I could have been of more help. Deb Bayless, CKD, CBD
Love the kitchen! What is the distance between the dishwasher and island, and between the oven and island? - This looks similar to the kitchen layout in the home we just bought in Clarendon Hills (that we are completely remodeling). I'm struggling to decide between an island or peninsula. I was wondering the dimensions of this island, and the space between the dishwasher and the island, as well as the distance between the oven and the island...I would love this layout for our kitchen but I'm not sure we have enough space.... We are a little limited because of a load bearing wall we just cannot move (or afford to move). Thank you sooooo much for any info! »
ALLDECOR Home Staging & Design 36-40+" is the standard. In smaller kitchens I've used 30" clearance. Use lower clearance on 1 or 2 sides of the island only, 30" on all sides will feel too tight. IMPORTANT - Make sure you can open the doors of the appliances.
Deb Bayless, Designer-Kitchen Studio of Glen Ellyn Yes, many people have this configuration. In answer to your question, the clearance between the dishwasher and the island is 36" (countertop to countertop is 33"). The distance between the oven and the island is 42" (countertop to countertop is 39"). The island is comprised of 2 -30" cabinets at a depth of 21" not the standard 24" which allowed for better clearance behind the island as there is a large desk and pantry area behind it. Overall dimensions of the island are 36" x 63". Hope this helps!

Microwave - Any idea the distance between the bottom of your micro and the top of the range. This looks like a good distance apart - sometimes they see so close to the range, it tends to look crowded. Thanks. »
