LORRAINE G VALE, Allied ASID Melissa,
Thank you for your inquiry-this surface was really a happy 'accident'! We asked the contractor for concrete with rock salt pocks. This treatment is very prevalent in our area-it gives the concrete character. I did not like the end result, so the contractor ground the surface, which exposed the natural aggregates found in concrete. The lines you see are scored with a stone cutting saw in a large 4'x4' diagonal pattern. The end result is a terrazzo looking surface. It is gorgeous and I love it!
LORRAINE G VALE, Allied ASID Hi Judy,
We live in Charleston, SC. The joke her is that the mosquito is our state bird! We invested a good bit of money into the backyard, it would have been a shame if we couldn't enjoy it because of those pesky mosquitos! There are a couple of local companies that install these systems in our area. I am sure there a s few in yours. The system we have uses an all natural solution from the nectar of flowers. There is no odor and is completely non-toxic and safe for pets. A fine mist automatically sprays before dusk in zones of the yard. Of course, that can be over rided and you can control it to spray just before a party, for instance.
Thank you for your inquiry and good luck!
Lorraine
judyahl Thank You Lorraine.
Can you provide me with the name of the company, maybe they can ship a system or know where I could by one in Los Angeles. To your point...patios are great for entertaining and beautiful until the mosquitos arrive and I really want my patio to be the place people enjoy the most in our home. Thank you
