Habachy Designs Sorry for the late response! It is over 10' Long x 8' Height. The niche in the wall was designed to accomodate the large tufted leather headboard. The tufting mostly had to be done on sight, because the length and height. To see more of my work go to my site: www.HabachyDesigns.com

Habachy Designs Sorry for the late response! Yes. Everything about the room was custom. The wall is clad in the same Wenge hardwood as the floors. The niche in the wall was designed to accomodate the large tufted leather headboard. The tufting mostly had to be done on sight, because the length and height. It is over 10' Long x 8' Hight. The bed side cabinets were also designed by me and custom made and finished in a lacquer to complement the leather and rug. Even the area rug was made to frame all of the furniture perfectly. Thanks for your interest. To see more of my work go to my site: www.HabachyDesigns.com
Habachy Designs Hi Christina, I had these nightstands custom made by a local millworker. The were inspired by early, French modern styled furniture. If you can't find it, have it made!
BPF: Almost everything seen in your spaces is often made from scratch, having been custom designed by your firm. If you were forced to shop for a client using only retail, what retail chains would you shop at?
MH: Not sure if I would be able to work from one store alone! I am such a perfectionist that I like to have hundreds of sources to pull from. But if I had to choose, I would go for a store like ABC Carpet and Home which has a diverse selection of contemporary and classic pieces so that I can mix it up.
Instead of a simple headboard, why not create an oversized tufted panel to ground your bed? By laying a rug in a similar color and size, it creates a dedicated space to the bed area, which actually makes the room as a whole feel larger.
Turn it up even more by pushing the extra wide, extra long headboard into a recessed section of the wall. Light it with a soft glow and you will sleep like a dream. More: Create a Dramatic Backdrop for Your Bed
