This home is a full integration of a wide range of green concepts including zoned geothermal HVAC and a whole house fan system.
The design theme was inspired by 19th century farmhouse vernacular.
Other green features include an exhaustive use of low V.O.C. materials, finishes and adhesives, operable transoms in the bedooms, reclaimed wood flooring, foam insulation and cement fiberboard siding.

Plans - Could you tell me how many square feet this house is? Thank you »
If you have a large house then you need to make sure that it is properly insulated for the winter. If you have high ceilings then you want to add attic or rooftop insulation to limit the loss of heat rising.
Winter wonderland fantasy. For some reason this kind of reminds me of the house in "Rachel Getting Married", one of the most annoying movies I've ever seen in my life (dishwasher race scene, shaky nausea-inducing camera work - UGH!).
