Love the water feature! Could you tell me what it's called and where I might find one? - I'm making a whimsical children's garden in my backyard, and this would be such a fun addition. Thanks in advance for your reply. »
Margie Grace - Grace Design Associates This is a sprinkler. It is made to go on the end of a hose but we "hard-piped" it and put it on an automatic sprinkler valve. The kids run around in it too --- if you time it right, you can run around it and stay dry or you can run around it and get soaking wet. I used to buy these from an artist in Illinois --- but he's gone out of business. There are some knock-off's available --- look up "decorative copper sprinkler" in a search of the web and you'll see lots of options. Happy gardening!
Strong structure for strong interest. This parterre-inspired veggie garden, with its strong architectural lines, is attractive year-round. Add the playful sprinkler — which looks like an armillary sphere when not in operation — and you have a vegetable garden that's fetching enough for center stage.
