marys76 Very impressive. I typically associate walnut with much darker stains. The color is very impressive and uniform. Kudos to your cabinet guy..., you have a real talented sub!

Rebekah Zaveloff Kitchen Craft has a color called Tuscan Black Glaze that looks very similar to this, but many manufacturers do as well. I'd say this is most likely maple.
