Cynthia Prizant - Prizant Design, LLC If you go with the option to drop the crown from the ceiling, you need to leave enough space so that the electrician can fit his/her hand in to install the lighting strip.

Cynthia Prizant - Prizant Design, LLC Crown molding was attached several inches up on the pre-existing soffit. LED strip lighting was attached to the inside of the crown, and the transformer was hidden in the corner. The ceiling was painted with a pearlescent finish for a beautiful shimmer effect.

Cynthia Prizant - Prizant Design, LLC The floors are Andean Pecan from Mannington. The stairs are of Hickory hardwood, which is interchangeable with Pecan, and were custom stained to match the flooring.
