Client Goal: To provide a large area for entertaining that allows individual settings for more intimate gatherings of small groups of guests. This open, 2-story cathedral ceiling great room offers a dual staircase that splits the room into defined gathering areas. In the first area, guests can begin their evening with a cocktail from the bar tucked into the corner of the staircase. This sitting room includes wing chairs upholstered in a classic stripe to complement the floral loveseat. The herringbone fireplace on the opposite side is accented with deep plum walls that reflect the color in the wing chair stripes and provide contrast to the two windows on either side of the fireplace, thereby drawing attention to the wonderful exterior view.
