Thanks Kohler. Generally speaking I put the finish on the board because we only use it in dry applications. I am a huge fan of the Kohler Cast Iron products because of their durability, value and large recycled content.

One bit of advice for anyone looking to do a sink like this is to make sure you know what faucet you want to install and order the sink with the correct amount of holes for your faucet.

One last thing about the cutting board. I only use wood cutting boards in dry applications. For wet or everyday use I prefer Epicurean cutting boards made from recycled paper. I have had them for years. They hold up great and can go in the dishwasher. Guess I am a bit if a germ nut which is also reflected in my counter top recommendations.
