Can this material be purchased in liquid form? - Can this surface be applied in liquid form to an existing ceramic 4X4 tile if so could i purchase the several materials and instructions needed to be able to self apply? Thank you. »
Bill Fry Construction - Wm. H. Fry Const. Co. Vetrazzo only comes in slabs. Most importantly, putting anything on top of your existing tile would not be a good idea. If you want to redo your counter tops and do it right, you'd need to tear out the tile. Not fun. If you do decide to demolish your tile, suggest you test it for lead first. Tile glazes can often contain lead and removing these tiles creates dust which is bad for your health. :) Rhoda
Dorado Stone Distributors Hi Rhoda - this material only comes in slabs. The process to make a Vetrazzo slab is approx. 6 weeks. We do have half slabs though that are 108" x 30". Hope you can rethink your project.
Vetrazzo This countertop is called Vetrazzo which is an American made recycled glass product. This color is called Millefiori and made out of recycled stain glass.
However there are many other colors made from beer bottles, Skyy Vodka bottles, wine bottle, glass from old building and so many other recycled glass resources.

Floating blue in Montreal - Hi,
Any possibility to get a small quantity of the floating blue type in Montreal? I am trying to do a bathroom vanity and have no need for 11.5 sft which seems to be their minimum...
Thanks »
Dorado Stone Distributors Give Ciot in Montreal a call - (514) 383-5180. They are the distributor in Montreal. They may know a couple installers in your area who might have smaller pieces. However, it is more difficult to find smaller pieces. Good Luck!
The basics: With a makeup similar to terrazzo, these counters are composed of recycled glass, cement and pigment. Manufacturers such as IceStone and Vetrazzo (pictured) obtain all their glass from postconsumer sources, and have some fun while they're at it. For instance, Vetrazzo's 'Alehouse Amber' is made of recycled beer bottles and 'Cobalt Skyy' contains recycled Skyy® Vodka bottles.Cost: $100 to $160 per square foot installed
This "green" mosaic style product is made with recycled bottles, old street lights, sea glass, you name it... Can me used for counters and backsplash... I Love it!!!
Lots of companies are doing it, this is just an example...
Millefiori Description The sweet scent and dazzling colors of a hillside covered with wildflowers. For centuries, Italians have made glass in brilliant colors called Millefiori – "a thousand flowers." This mix captures that beauty with salvaged glass from a renowned art glassmaker.
Glass source story The world's largest art glass manufacturer patented a production process referred to as continuous ribbon, and what we know as stained glass. It connotes colorful ribbon candy and the rainbow of colors they produce is equally astounding. Rejects or over-runs of the glass give Millefiori its full bouquet.
