Spectacular and rare blue and white Wedgwood style jasperware jug in stoneware with a hinged pewter lid set with a ceramic knob, with molded and applied Neoclassical decorative panels of vine, hops, and bundles of wheat; antique English late Georgian to early Victorian period, early 19th century. The jug is unmarked and comes with a provenance in the form of a dated colour photograph (dated 1968) and a hand written letter (dated 1976) tracing its history by repute to the 19th century Scotland. Ideal to serve at a luxurious dinner setting.This is an antique One of a Kind item. Some wear and imperfections are to be expected, as described.
