My husband sells vintage lumber, and he put antique poplar flooring in our barn house, could you please tell me the color and brand of finish on this floor. I Love the look. thanks »
bepsf You could get Utility Grade solid oak floors from Lumber Liquidators for less than $1/square foot, have it Sanded and stained dark and let the kids beat up on it for the next decade or so and pocket the difference...
...it wouldn't be exactly the same - but close enough!
this floor looks like the floors in our school house - I asked a question about original 1926 one room school house we are renovating. The floors look like this, about 3" wide boards I think. They are heaving in areas about 4 to 5 board across like a wave in the floor. I would like to know if anyone knows how to fix this? »
We love flooring which veers away from the standard strip oak we see in so many American homes and look for material which actually says something. This antique French oak speaks of the generations which have already used it and will create a great base and sense of time in any home.
