ABCD Design LLC This is not an antique. I bought it new five years ago - it is an Oushak carpet. It is wool. I'd highly suggest purchasing the very best quality you can afford - a wool Persian carpet should last you a lifetime.
ABCD Design LLC They are just standard width - original wood floors we simply sanded and re-stained them in Jacobean - the building was built in the late 1800's
What is the name/ style of the black lamp shades? I have a similar pair of lamps..much larger in scale with mid-century oversize drum shades.I think these are a great alternative. »
When asked about her most prized possessions, Amy immediately refers to her collection of vintage posters. They make a bold, imposing statement in the entry room and instantly influence the color direction of the space.
A curvaceous tufted-leather Chesterfield sofa contrasts harmoniously with an Oushak carpet and straight-lined daybed.
It only takes one or two showcase pieces, such as this cabinetry, to add a touch of the worn look to a modern space.

I love the juxtaposition of this thick, tufted sofa with one that’s simplified and contemporary. The colors in the artwork, throw pillows and rug help to tie everything together.
The new traditionalists enjoy pairing a Chesterfield sofa with its modern counterparts. Both sofas, though very different, play well together in this warm New York City loft.
Don't match your sofas. Perfect symmetry is bliss, but don't let it become boring. Every room in your home does not have to be uniform. Why not try two very different sofas in your living room? There is just something very exciting about the unexpected.
Style Secret: Unexpected AccentsIn what other decorating style could you make a weathered sideboard, an Oriental rug and a wall of vintage ads get along? The fun of eclectic style lies in the element of surprise. This is the time to get personal: Showcase mementos from your trip to India last year; bring out the faded concert posters of your favorite band; stack books inside your Radio Flyer wagon from childhood.Road-test it: You can go overboard with quirkiness in a hurry. This room mixes styles and eras — a Chesterfield sofa, a modern sofa, a shabby chic credenza — and brings it all together with that burnt-orange color in the upholstery, art and pillows.
Of course, you aren't required to go midcentury modern with all of the furnishings around this piece. I love the contrast between the modern Case Study Daybed and the traditional chesterfield in this collected room.

I love the tones in here. Neutral with color pops in the fall family: rust, greens, purple, orange, yellow, blue. Artwork ties into rug nicely. Black used to give substance and depth.
