Prairie Style in the Woods contemporary-deck

Prairie Style in the Woods

Prairie style contemporary home with an Asian influence. This lovely deck is accessed from kitchen and dining room. Ipe wood is used on floor, and the rails are metal powder coated so that they will not rust. The design of rails differs a bit from the inside because they are meant to mimic the tree branches, almost disappearing. Custom designed by Steve Kleineman. Note the long overhangs that provide protection and shade.
